We deliver anything from a one day course to full management development programmes. Below we describe some of the more recent programmes to give you a flavour of the range of programmes we deliver.
Bridgnorth District Council |
For Bridgnorth we delivered a comprehensive diagnostic programme designed to identify where they sit against the key components for success, the actions they need to take and the training programme required.
This comprised background research; establishing key issues within the organisation and determining where services were against them; this comprised face-to-face meetings and an away day session for senior managers, where we conducted the diagnostic survey; and produced a report, which formed their Organisation Development Plan. |
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council |
Greenfield are the sole provider of soft skills and Human Resources training for Barnsley Metropolitan Council. |
Blackpool Borough Council |
A nine day programme for first line managers which includes the ILM Introductory Certificate in First Line Management. This programme covers areas such as Leadership, Service Improvement, Communications, Managing People, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Customer Service, Change and Personal Development.
Participants also complete an individual work based project and well as teamwork based project which is presented to a panel of managers. All participants receive face to face and email tutorial support.

Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council |
Two Greenfield consultants delivered an Excellence in Customer Service programme to 600+ staff. This included workshops, and a knowledge assessment and was delivered at various sites throughout the borough |
Johnnie Johnson Housing |
We delivered a package of consultancy and training for this housing association. Initially we developed an Induction Programme and pack, which included an interactive CD, and trained senior managers in presentation skills to deliver this induction to new starters. We next reviewed and then redesigned their Appraisal scheme and trained managers on the process and the skills necessary to conduct the appraisals.
We then delivered training in the form of a ILM programme for managers and an on-going core training for all staff covering customer service, stress, difficult people, change, communications skills, managing performance, problem solving and coaching. |
Bury Metropolitan Borough Council |
This Performance Management programme was developed in partnership with the council and was based on the Government’s Breakthrough Performance Management model.
The programme involved initial interviews, with desk top research, into the council’s policies and procedures (with a resulting report to the Council) and then took 150 middle and senior managers through:
- Focus group sessions
- Diagnostic and development sessions to identify individual needs
- A series of 5 workshops –
- Performance Framework
- Managing Change
- Helping People Perform
- Priority Management
- Leadership
- A work based assignment
- Evaluation by observation in the workplace and evaluation sessions 12 months after the completion of the workshops. The success was be measured by the improvement in management systems within the council over the subsequent 12 months
This programme received funding from Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and was delivered by 5 Greenfield consultants. |
Salford PCT |
Working in partnership with the Trust we designed and delivered a training programme which introduced all 1000 staff to the new appraisal scheme linked to the Knowledge and Skills Framework and also trained 150 managers in carrying out this programme. The managers training included interviewing skills training. 2 Greenfield consultants co-trained with an in-house Human Resources officer to deliver this programme over a two month period. |
Peterborough City Council |
We deliver Social Care training on an annual basis for the Council, delivering courses on Job Interview Techniques (Warner Report), Age Assessment for Asylum Seekers, Statement Writing for Court, Witness Skills and Communicating with Children
We also designed and developed an interactive CD for Social Services care workers to update their Child Protection knowledge |
Leicester City Council |
We delivered a series of programmes for the Social Care and Adult and Housing Department including Practical Cultural Awareness, Equality Briefings and Race Equality Foundation Level 1 |
Sandwell Metropolitan Council |
In partnership with the Chief Librarian we designed a specially tailored Personal Safety programme for all the library staff. These sessions have all included the Chief Librarian presenting a question and Answer session and the Council’s ASBO officer updating staff on what this means for library staff. |
Newark and Sherwood District Council |
We designed a Child Protection training pack for in-house trainers to deliver to staff throughout the Council who had any interactions with Children. We then trained the in-house staff on the use of this pack |
Homezone Housing |
We delivered Racial Harassment Investigation training for managers in the organisation, for those officer who will be investigating incidents (AHOs), and for officers who witness or have racist incidents reported to them (e.g. CSO, ILO).
The focus was on tenants and customers and how to identify racial harassment and what to do e.g. what is it, what do I do and how does it relate to my job. |
Blackpool Victoria NHS Trust |
We co-delivered with the in-house training staff, an NVQ4 management programme for Nurse Managers which included 9 workshops – Management Communications, Productive Working Relationships, Decision Making, Develop your on Resources, management Style, Managing the use of Physical Resources, Managing the use of Financial Resources, Change and Report Writing. The programme also include work based projects which were presented in report form and on-going tutorial support. |
